An efficient, free, multiplatform programming editor.

Geany is a very small but effective programming tool that is compatible with numerous languages, like PHP, Java, C, Perl, Python, Pascal, etc.

As is usual in programming editors, it includes diverse colours for syntactic fields, autocomplete of keywords and functions, hierarchical XML and HTML syntax, symbols lists, autoclose of XML and HTML tags, code browsing, simple project management, etc. It also includes plug-ins to increase the number of its functions.

For it to work you need to install the GTK2 libraries.

Geany works in Windows, but also in Linux, FreeBSD, NetBSD, OpenBSD, MacOS X, AIX v5.3 and Solaris Express.
